    Four new judges took oath as Delhi High Court judges on Monday, February 28, 2022.

    Chief Justice DN Patel administered the oath for the newly appointed Judges. 

    The new Judges (in the order of seniority) are:

    - Justice Neena Bansal Krishna

    - Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma

    - Justice Anoop Kumar Mendiratta

    - Justice Sudhir Kumar Jain

    With the new appointments, the working strength of the High Court has now increased to 34 whereas the vacancies have reduced to 26.

    The Supreme Court collegium had recommended the elevation of the four judges, along with two others, in the first week of February 2022.

    Justice Neena Bansal Krishna was serving as the Principal District and Sessions Judge at Saket Courts, South East district. She was dealing with the jurisdiction concerning Public Premises Act, Essential Services Maintenance Act, Essential Commodities Act, RCT and MCD Appellate.

    Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma was serving as the Principal District and Sessions Judge at Patiala House Courts, New Delhi district. He had earlier served as Registrar General of the Delhi High Court from the period of May 1, 2017 to January 6, 2020.

    Justice Anoop Kumar Mendiratta was serving as the Union Law Secretary. He was earlier serving as the District and Sessions Judge of Karkardooma in northeast district. He had also served as Principal Secretary Law Department with the Delhi.

    Justice Sudhir Kumar Jain was serving as the District and Sessions Judge of the Rouse Avenue Court.
