The first national Lok Adalat of 2025 in Telangana was held on 8th March under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority.

The initiative was spearheaded by Justice Sujoy Paul, Acting Chief Justice of Telangana High Court and Patron-in-Chief cum Executive Chairman of Telangana State Legal Services Authority, who emphasised that mediation is the most effective path forward to dispute resolution and called compromise 'a royal way' forward.

The event saw unprecedented success with a total of 15,25,838 cases disposed. This included 2,665 civil cases resolved (covering motor accident claims, money matters, and property disputes), 7,78,352 criminal cases settled, and 7,44,851 pre-litigation matters resolved. The total compensation awarded amounted to Rs. 9,11,53,99,761.

The State Legal Services Authority coordinated 328 Lok Adalat Benches across Telangana, conducting comprehensive coordination meetings with stakeholders, including Public Prosecutors, advocates, and police officials.

A significant development during the event was the focus on Community Mediation Centers, with approximately 300 volunteers participating in an interactive session. The Acting Chief Justice emphasized resolving disputes at the grassroots level, and volunteers unanimously supported the program, agreeing to undergo mediation training.
