    The High Court Legal Services Committee, Bengaluru on Tuesday conducted the first virtual Lok Adalat through Video Conferencing.

    The Lok Adalat Bench comprising of Justice Alok Aradhe, who is also the Chairman, High Court Legal Services Committee and Vijay Kumar Patil, Conciliator, settled 31 cases pertaining to two Insurance Companies. The bench awarded a compensation of a sum of Rs 62,95,000 to the Victims of Motor Vehicle Accident.

    The first virtual Lok Adalat was conducted with the able support and guidance of Chief Justice Abhay S. Oka who is the Patron-in-Chief, Karnataka State Legal Services Authority. Justice Aravind Kumar, Executive Chairman, Karnataka State Legal Services Authority and Justice Alok Aradhe, Chairman, High Court Legal Services Committee. 

    On July 11, the first ever 'e-Lok Adalat' was held in Chhattisgarh, which resulted in settlement of about 2270 cases.
