The Bar Council Of Tamil Nadu & Puducherry Chairman P.S Amalraj has written a letter to the Director of 'Jai Bhim' movie, heartily congratulating the Director TJ Gnanavel himself, the producers and Actor Surya for depicting a real-life incident revolving around a poor victim and her struggle for justice without deviating from its truthfulness. The letter states that the movie has been playing an instrumental role in breaking the myths about courtroom exchanges without many cinematic additions. The Bar Council also congratulates the director and his team for not diluting the truth in the case conducted by Justice K. Chandru, former judge of Madras High Court. A copy of the letter has also been sent to Actor Surya Sivakumar and Justice K. Chandru.

Bar Council has also mentioned that it is elated to see a movie that expresses the value of the Advocate's profession as a noble profession, powerful enough to uphold the rights of the people and to ensure justice for the victims of abuse of power and downtrodden communities.

"The movie has brought to light not only the struggle for justice by a poor victim but also highlighted the strength of legal profession and the greatness of courts of justice to come to the aid of victims whose rights get trampled due to abuse of power", the letter states referring to the selfless service by Justice K. Chandru in the case concerned.

Bar Council also mentions that the real hero is indisputably Justice K. Chandru, who was convincingly portrayed by Actor Surya, along with the numerous advocates all over India who raised their voices against such atrocities through the court of law, thereby upholding the constitution and rule of law in our democracy.

The letter ends on a note that every advocate must come forward to help the poor and underprivileged wherever their rights are denied to fulfil Dr B.R Ambedkar's dream of an Indian society with equality to all.
