A Court in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur today granted bail to Shivam Mishra, the son of a local tobacco baron and owner of Bansidhar Tobacco, hours after he was arrested in connection with the high-profile Lamborghini crash, which left several people injured earlier this week.

The court rejected the police's application seeking a 14-day judicial remand. Consequently, Shivam has been released on a personal bond of ₹20,000.

It may be noted that on February 9, the Kanpur police lodged an FIR against an unidentified person after the speeding car crashed into pedestrians and vehicles in the VIP road area. The charges include negligent and rash driving, endangering lives and causing hurt by dangerous means

Six people got injured in the crash, and the police have been suspecting that Mishra has a prime role to play in the incident. He was arrsed earlier today.
