Trivandrum Bar Association on Tuesday (13th May) suspended Adv. Bailin Das for assaulting his junior lady advocate. As per reports, the action was taken by the association after getting an oral complaint from the victim. The office bearers of the association informed the media that he was put under suspension pending enquiry. Shyamili, the victim was allegedly slapped on her face and she fell down. 

As per the allegations, the incident happened in the office of the advocate when both of them were talking about an issue in the office. She also told the media that intially, the bar association prevented the police from taking the advocate into custody from his office. However, these allegations were denied by the Bar Association Secretary.

An FIR was registered in the Vanchiyoor Police Station yesterday. Statements of the victim were recorded while she was being treated in Trivandrum General Hospital.
