    With the vision to enhance accessibility and transparency, the Orissa High Court has commenced live streaming of court proceedings of the Court of Chief Justice on a trial basis. The High Court has also launched multiple e-Services such as High Court's mobile app, facility of online payment of fines in cases before District and Subordinate Courts, the system of Virtual Courts for dealing with traffic e-challan cases in Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate area.

    Addressing a gathering of Judges of the High Court, District Judges, the Advocate General, the D.G. of Police, Odisha, the Commissioner of Police, Cuttack and Bhubaneswar and other dignitaries through video conferencing, Chief Justice S. Muralidhar emphasized the intended benefits of ushering in technology into the day to day work of the Judicial system and briefly touched upon the purpose of launching the new e-services.

    Extending gratitude to the committee of the Supreme Court of India for its consistent endeavour towards bringing substantial changes in the Judicial Process through the use of technology over the past decade and for all the support provided to the High Court in its technological undertaking, Chief Justice Muralidhar impressed upon the Judicial Officers and Members of the Bar to work in cohesion and to give their best in fulfilling the expectations of the common man from the Justice Delivery System.



    Regarding the concept of live streaming of Court proceedings, Chief Justice Muralidhar informed that live streaming would commence in his Court on a trial basis. He urged everyone to share their feedback with the Court on all its undertakings, including live streaming, assuring that every constructive feedback shall be promptly considered.

    Justice Biswajit Mohanty, the Chairman of the High Court's Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence Committee and Justice Satrughana Pujahari, the former Chairman of the Computer cum Steering Committee also spoke on occasion highlighting various benefits of the newly launched Mobile App of the High Court, the facility of online payment of fines and Virtual Courts.

    The Advocate General of Odisha also hailed the recent technological advancements made by the High Court of Orissa under the leadership of the Chief Justice and the I.T. Committee of the High Court.

    Earlier, the D.G. of Police, Odisha, the Commissioner of Police, the Transport Commissioner-cum-Chairman, State Transport Authority, Odisha, the State Informatics Officer, NIC, Odisha, spoke on occasion welcoming the e-initiatives of the High Court for the benefits of litigants.

    Live streaming of proceedings of the Chief Justice's Court commenced from 2 PM onwards on 02.08.2021 and can be viewed on the official YouTube channel of the High Court of Orissa.
