The National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) will begin hearing of cases via video conferencing from June 15 onwards.
The Commission had resorted to restricted functioning on March 16 in view of the pandemic and it was notified that all the matters requiring extremely urgent hearing may be mentioned before the President, NCDRC, at his Residential Office.
Through a circular issued on June 2 it is intimated that the matters will now be heard via video conferencing.
All the parties whose matters are pending before the Commission may convey their request for listing to the Registry of the Commission. Such parties will also be required to submit the digitized records of their respective cases through e-mail at [email protected].
So far as filing of fresh cases is concerned from June 3 onwards, the parties will be required to submit the digitized files on the above mentioned e-mail along with the physical files of the matters.
