    The High Court has decided that one Division Bench and seven Single Benches will function every working day at 10.30 A.M. through Video Conferencing.

    Modalities

    • The office of the High Court will function with the full strength of the staff. The staff, while attending duty, should carry their Identity Cards.
    • Except for the Officers and staff of the Court, there shall be restrictions for others over entry into the High Court campus.
    • Cases will be listed irrespective of defects. However, the concerned Advocates may come to the Court, subject to prior intimation to the Deputy Registrar (Judicial), for removal of defects only in those cases where specific directions are passed by the Court for such removal.
    • Filing of cases and documents may be done either through Drop Box (kept near the counters of the Copying Section) from 10.30 A.M. to 12.30 P.M. or through E- mail at efilinq.od-hc@gov.in or through E-Filing portal.
    • In order to ensure proper sanitization of the files and for safety, the cases filed through Drop Box shall be registered one day after the date of filing.
    • For listing of cases, mention may be made by filing Mention Memos in the Drop Box (kept near the counters of Copying Section) between 11.00 A.M. and 12.00 Noon. Urgent matters where oral mentioning is felt necessary may be done before the Registrar (Judicial) and Deputy Registrar (Judicial) through Video Conferencing between 11.00 A.M. and 12.00 Noon in the following links:

    Functioning in Uttarakhand's subordinate courts

    In view of the health guidelines issued by the Government of India and the State Government, for safety of the litigants, advocates, officers and staff of the Subordinate Courts, the Uttarakhand High Court has been pleased to issue following directions:

    1. 1.Subordinate Courts of District Champawat, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi will continue normal judicial work, except trials, through physical mode.
    2. 2.Subordinate Courts of District Dehradun, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Haldwani (District Nainital) and Ramnagar (District Nainital) will continue hearing through virtual mode,
    3. 3.Rest of the Subordinate Courts will resume normal judicial work, except trials, through physical mode w.e.f. os'' July, 2021.
    4. 4.The Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) will be strictly adhered to with such suitable adaptations, as may be necessary to confirm to the hearing through physical or virtual mode, as the case may be.

    The District Judges shall furnish a report with regard to the prevalence of Covid-19 cases in their respective districts to the respective Administrative Judges on weekly basis.
