Prashanto Chandra Sen & Haripriya Padmanabhan Appointed Tamil Nadu Additional Advocate Generals For Supreme Court

The Tamil Nadu Government has appointed Senior Advocates Prashanto Chandra Sen and Haripriya Padmanabhan as Counsel for the Government of Tamil Nadu before the Supreme Court, in the rank of Additional Advocate General.

According to the appointment order, the appointments have been made based on a recommendation from the Advocate General of Tamil Nadu. The two senior advocates will represent the State Government before the Supreme Court on a temporary basis until regular law officers are selected and appointed in accordance with the applicable rules.

The government order states that the appointments have been made under Rule 5(11) of the Law Officers of High Court of Madras and its Bench at Madurai (Appointment) Rules, 2017.
