Following an enthusiastic response to its inaugural edition, #ReclaimConstitution has announced the second edition of its national Constitution Quiz for students of Classes 8 to 12 across India.

The quiz is designed to inspire young minds to engage with constitutional ideas, encouraging them to explore the debates and struggles that shaped our Constitution. The online preliminary round will be held on 26 November 2026 (Constitution Day) followed by the national Grand Finale in Bengaluru on 26 January 2027 (Republic Day).

The first edition, held in 2025-26, saw more than 1,500 students forming 500 teams from over 200 schools across 20 States and five Union Territories. Six teams eventually reached the Grand Finale in Bengaluru.

For the finalists, the quiz became a different way of discovering the Constitution. The quiz also offered students a chance to take home more than just memories. All six finalist teams received a mini library of 15 books, while the winning team was awarded an all-expenses-paid trip to Rashtrapati Bhavan & other monuments in New Delhi, accompanied by a parent.

“I learnt more about our Constitution. As a 11th grade Humanities student who is preparing for Civil services, I believe the books will be of great help for me in the future,” said Kajal Boro of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Guwahati.

Harsh of Jyoti Public School, Lahli, Haryana, said, “I learnt about the depth of our Constitution and the values it stands for. It made me realize my responsibilities as a citizen of India.”

For Violet D'Costa of Carmel School, Goa, the format itself made learning memorable: “Learning through quiz was much easier and better to remember than what we learn through books it was amazing experience getting through different types of questions based on the constitution.”

The second edition will once again be a team competition, with three students forming a team. Students from public and private schools, pre-university colleges and home-schooled students are eligible. New participants will receive four books to help them prepare, while registration is free for participants of the first edition.

Teams will compete in the preliminary round, with leading teams from across the country advancing to the Grand Finale in Bengaluru. The organisers hope the quiz will encourage students to see the Constitution not simply as something to study for an examination, but as a framework that shapes their rights, responsibilities and everyday lives.
