The Supreme Court Bar Association has issued a Resolution strongly condemning the unprovoked Chinese aggression and the brutal killing of Indian soldiers during the face-off which took place at Galwan Valley on Monday. The Resolution also pays tribute and homage to the Indian soldiers for their tremendous service to the nation.

"The Executive Committee expresses its sincere and heartfelt condolences to the Families of these valiant sons of India and prays to the Almighty that their Souls May Rest in Eternal Peace and their families and members of their kith and kin have the strength to bear this tremendous loss."

The Resolution further expresses the Executive Committee's support for the Nation and the Government during this time of crisis, in face of the unwarranted aggression by China against Indian soil.

"It stands by our men who have taken all actions and measures to meet and defeat this act of aggression and transgression of our national boundary by resorting to calculated violence."

In light of the above, the SCBA resolves to communicate to the men in uniform, to the Chief of Army Staff General MM Naravane, PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, ADC., and to the families of the brave men who sacrificed their lives for our tomorrow, the "unanimous and absolute support of approximately 14,000 members of the Supreme Court Bar Association and all lawyers practicing in our country."

Multiple Indian soldiers were killed and injured in an unprovoked violent face-off which took place at Galwan Valley on June 15th. The clash took place while efforts were being made to de-escalate tensions between the two sides.
