    Telangana has appointed two new Additional Advocates General. ("AAG")

    Advocate Tera Rajinikanth Reddy has been appointed as 2nd AAG after the creation of State of Telangana. His G.O. for appointment as AAG was issued on 14.12.2023 and he assumed charge on 18.12.2023. Advocate Reddy hails from a rural background and is a first-generation advocate. He completed his LLB in Sultan ul Ulloom College of Law Hyderabad in the year 2004 and Enrolled with the bar council.

    Advocate Reddy specializes in writ, civil, and arbitration law. Reddy also served as secretary to the Telangana Advocates Association and during his tenure as secretary, various pro-advocate beneficial decisions were taken by the bar association.

    During interaction with Advocate Reddy, he expressed his gratitude to the government for his appointment to the office of the AAG and for recognizing his hard work, integrity, and professional commitment and assured that his tenure will be remembered and he would put all his endeavors to give his best as it would pave way for both members of the bar as well as the first generation advocates to put up hard work and professional commitment which would be recognized at some point of time. He assures to uphold the dignity of the office and interest of the members of the bar and the bench.

    Senior Advocate Mohd. Imran Khan was appointed as the third AAG of the state of Telangana on 30.12.2023.

    Senior Advocate Khan is the first person to be appointed to the post of AAG from the entire minority community including Muslims.

    Senior Advocate Khan completed his LLB from Osmania University campus and enrolled as an advocate in the year 1988. He was designated as senior counsel on 15th April 2021. His areas of expertise are Civil law, Matrimonial law, Cantonment Law, Municipal and Writ law.

    Senior Advocate Khan is considered to be a well-mannered, soft-spoken, and professionally committed person by the members of the Bar. Advocate Imran Khan while thanking for the opportunity and responsibility put on him by the State has said:

    "I feel humbled that I am the first Additional Advocate General from the muslim community to be appointed since the time the State of Andhra Pradesh was formed and coincidentally also the first Designated Senior Advocate from my community from the State of Telangana. In all my future endeavors I will try to do whatever work is entrusted to me to the best of my ability."
