'Persons Having More Than Two Children Appointed As Judges In MP’ : Alleges Suspended ADJ, Seeks Inquiry

Suspended Additional District Judge RK Shrivas has written a letter to the President of India to set up a high-level inquiry committee or instruct the CBI for a probe into 12-point alleged irregularities, including persons having more than two children, being given appointment on posts of additional district judge contrary to norms.

Shrivas, in his letter, stated a person cannot be appointed in the government service having more than two children on January 26, 2001, and onwards as per the central /state government population policy.

He said the policy clearly states if a person has a third child, he/she is ineligible for appointment in the government service since January 26, 2001.

Similarly those in service will lose the job if they have a third child, he said.

Two years ago in the district court of Damoh, some class (fourth) employees were terminated from the service for they had a third child, on basis of the government population policy, therefore similar action be taken against those appointed on the post of additional district judges who have a third child, he demanded.

Last month, Srivas staged a dharna outside the Madhya Pradesh High Court against being transferred four times within 15 months, later joined work at Neemuch. Soon after joining the office at Neemuch, he was put under suspension.

He recently took a cycle yatra from Neemuch to Jabalpur as protest to the injustice meted out to him.

He is planning to undertake a cycle yatra from Neemuch to Delhi to lodge his protest.
