The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended elevation of Chief Justices of three High Courts as judges of the Supreme Court of India.
The Chief Justices are:
- Justice Sunita Agarwal: Chief Justiceof Gujarat High Court
- Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya: Chief Justice of Delhi High Court
- Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh: Chief Justice of Telangana High Court
The development comes in a meeting held by the Top Court's Collegium today.
A statement regarding the meeting reads : “The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on 28th September, 2026 has recommended elevation of the following Chief Justices of the High Courts as Judges in the Supreme Court….”
