Gyanvapi Mosque Case : Live Updates From Varanasi District Court - Day 3

The Varanasi District Court will hear today the Order 7 Rule 11 application filed by Anjuman Intezemia Masjid Committee seeking rejection of the plaint filed by Hindu women as barred by the Places of Worship Act (Special Provisions) Act 1991.

District Judge Dr.Ajay Kumar Vishvesha is hearing the matter at 2 PM today.

On May 20, the Supreme Court had transferred the suit from the Court of Civil Judge Senior Division to the District Court saying that an experienced and senior judge should handle the matter having regard to its complexities and sensitivity.
