India & Pakistan Agree To Stop Military Actions & Firing

In a major development in the aftermath of 'Operation Sindoor', India and Pakistan agreed to stop all military operations.
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri announced in a special press conference today that Indian and Pakistan have agreed to stop all firing and military operations.
"The Director General of Military Operations, Pakistan called the Director General of Military Operations, India at 15.35 Hours earlier this afternoon.
It was agreed between them that both sides will stop all firing and military actions on land, in the air and the sea with effect from 17.00 hours Indian Standard Time Today
Instructions have been given to both sides to give effect to this understanding. The Director Generals of Military Operations will talk again on the 12th May at 12.00 hours," he said.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also announced that India and Pakistan have today worked out an understanding on stoppage of firing and military action.
"India and Pakistan have today worked out an understanding on stoppage of firing and military action. India has consistently maintained a firm and uncompromising stance against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. It will continue to do so," he said.
A short while ago, US President Donald Trump announced that after a long night of mediated talks by the United States, India, and Pakistan agreed to an immediate and full ceasefire.

The Ministry of External Affairs however said the no third party was involved in the understanding between India and Pakistan.
The 'Operation Sindoor' was carried out by the Indian military forces against nine terrorist sites in Pakistan in the wee hours of May 7 in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack.
Following that, Pakistan escalated its response and made attempts to target Indian military establishments and cities, which were repelled by the Indian forces.
