He also served as the “Law Secretary” to the Government of Kerala. He was appointed as a “Permanent Judge” in the High Court of Kerala in 2004, a position he held till his retirement in 2012. After retirement, he served as the Chairman of the “Advisory Board” under the Kerala Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 2007, from 2013 to 2016. From 09-10-2017 to 05-12-2019 he was the “Ombudsman” for the Kerala Cricket Association.Justice Ramkumar has been frequently invited by the Kerala Judicial Academy, Kerala Bar Council and Law Universities for sharing the wealth of his knowledge and experience with the Judicial Officers, Police Officers, Advocates, Public Prosecutors and law students.
