Eligibility & Qualifications

LLB degree (mandatory)

Journalism / Mass Communication degree – added advantage

Strong interest in legal reporting and court proceedings

Good command over English (reading, writing, and comprehension)

Ability to work in a fast-paced newsroom environment

Fresh graduates can also apply.

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Supreme Court reporter, you would be expected to keep track of all the developments from the courts and submit timely news reports after attending the hearings. You also have to keep track of the orders/judgments that are uploaded and make factual and concise reports as quickly as possible.

The duty includes writing breaking stories as well as in-depth stories explaining the intricacies of the legal questions and other matters pending before the court.

The ability to live-tweet hearings is a must.

It is a full-time job where you will be expected to remain abreast of all the latest happenings, both inside and outside courts. Since we are a digital medium, both speed and accuracy is a must.
