    Andhra Pradesh Govt yesterday informed SC that it wants to hold Class 12 Exams by July last week

    Supreme Court will also examine Kerala Govt's move to hold Class XI exams in September.

    21 States have cancelled and 6 have conducted Class 12 exams.

    The PIL also seeks a uniform assessment criteria for state boards

      Bench: In present proceeding we are focusing only on class 12 exams of respective Boards of didf States. Resultantly we don’t wish to entertain grievance of class 11th Kerala exams. Students from Kerala of 11th standard are free to file writ petition before High Court.

      Bench: Point is, fact is that 11th syllabus is complete and you only have to appear in exams. So preparation time given may be enough for you. You can’t say that give us three months. What’s the basis of this suggestion.

      Bench: He is saying If in the middle they are asked to study for exams they will not be able to focus on class 12th. In the midst of class 12th exams, they’ll be asked to appear in exam for 11th.

      Prakash: They’d already prepared

      Bench: He has a point that in midst of studying for 12th they’re being asked to appear for 11th. We are suggesting is it’s possible, that 15 days time may be provided for preparation and that be exclusive for preparation.

      Justice Maheshwari: So this result will not have a bearing on your future. Only answer that.

      Students are anxious as they are in class 12th now. They have to break that and suddenly study for class 11th now. These marks will be relevant.

      Justice Maheshwari to applicant: The query is, this is class 11th. It’s indicated that this exam can be held even in September or October as it will have mo bearing ok admissions. This will be relevant only after you take 12th exam.
