    Supreme Court has on Thursday notified that requests for mentioning of fresh matters before Vacation Benches is to be made only by email.

    The email has to address the email id mention.sc@sci.nic.in in the prescribed format.

    The direction has been issued as part of the circular dated May 27th, notifying rules and arrangements made to facilitate the hearing of matters of extreme urgency, during the summer vacation made under the directions of the Competent Authority.

    The circular has also stated that in case a request for a listing of a matter is declined by the Mentioning Officer, the Advocate on Record or the Party-in-Person can email their request to the Mentioning Registrar to place the mentioning slip before the Judge presiding over the Vacation Bench for appropriate orders. The request will then be processed in terms of the directions of the Judge.

    It has also been notified that mentioning of 'After Notice matters' will continue strictly as per the guidelines approved by the Competent Authority earlier and mentioning applications may be sent in the given format only through e-mail (addressed to mention.sc@sci.nic.in)

    The circular dated May 28th has been issued in supersession of earlier circulars issued on this behalf.
