SG for #CBI: They have both (Bihar & Maharashtra) thus made an outright case for transfer of these proceedings to CBI.

Singhvi for Maharashtra : I must say, never seen the CBI being so hands on with having a case transferred to them.

Maninder Singh for Bihar: I must say it is the Maharashtra CM’s son who is involved in the case, nothing to do with NitishKumar ’s insistence on filing FIR.

Divan: This case is being footballed about.

I also want to submit a short note by tomorrow.

Decisions where FIRs have been transferred under section 406 of the CRPC have been placed on record.

Divan for #RheaChakroborty is now making rejoinder submissions:

      1) Fair jurisdiction in Mumbai.

      2) Bihar’s FIR must be transferred to Maharashtra.

      3) Justice is a subtle virtue — FIR is registered by the State of Bihar at instance of chief minister

SG: Mr. singhvi & I have had arguments for 3 days on end over #Sealedcover submissions. And now he goes ahead and submits in sealed cover.

Singhvi for Maharashtra: I have no objection if your sealed cover is the same as the kind of docs I submit in sealed cover.

    • 11 Aug 2020 10:57 AM GMT

SG for #CBI : I won’t oppose mr. Singhvi submitting anything in Sealed cover.

I won’t have double standards — Mr. singhvi has often opposed me submitting documents in Sealed Cover.

I must however state, none of these documents part of case diary.

SG is making submissions regarding the investigation by Maharashtra police. “Bad in law”

“Your lordships are dealing with investigation as understood in law per se, whether the investigation itself is valid in law & not validity of Bihar’s FIR” he says.

    • 11 Aug 2020 10:49 AM GMT

SG: The recorded statements which run into 56 in number as absolutely irrelevant because no process of law followed by Mumbai Police

    • 11 Aug 2020 10:48 AM GMT

SG for #CBI: Whatever has been done in terms of the so-called “investigation” by Mumbai Police into #SushantSinghRajputDeathCase —- does not stand test of law.

    • 11 Aug 2020 10:48 AM GMT

SG: How could they not follow a procedure? Why not register an FIR an 154 of the Criminal Code? Why not intimate Magistrate under 157?
