    The Supreme Court Bar Association informed its members on Tuesday that the Uttar Pradesh government has opened up its borders, allowing free movement of people, except from border areas.

    This means that the lawyers can have free movement across UP borders to access their offices and chambers in Delhi.

    Earlier, the SCBA had approached higher authorities for relaxations for travel of lawyers.

    A notice issued by the SCBA Acting Secretary Rohit Pandey thanked UP Law Minister Brijesh Pathak, and Standing Counsel for State of UP, Garima Prasad, for facilitating the free movement of lawyers.


    The Delhi High Court Bar Association had moved the Delhi HC seeking relaxations for to and fro movement for lawyers from Haryana and UP. The Governments of Haryana and UP had told the HC on Monday that they will issue necessary relaxations for lawyers.
