The Central Government has notified the appointment of Justice Rohit Kapoor, presently an Additional Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, as a permanent Judge of the High Court, with effect from the date he assumes charge of office.

The notification, issued by the Department of Justice, states that the President," in exercise of the power conferred by Clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, is pleased to appoint Justice Rohit Kapoor as a Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court."

Justice Rohit Kapoor sworn in as additional judge on May 28, 2025. He was born on 1st October, 1975 and enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana in the year 2000. Justice Kapoor practiced on Constitutional, Civil and Criminal sides in the High Court of Punjab & Haryana at Chandigarh.
