    National Conference on Artificial Intelligence: Legal Implications and Challenges, is being hosted by Law Commission of India In Collaboration with Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology Government of India and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University, Sonepat and.

    The Law Commission of India, in conjunction with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) Government of India and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University, Sonepat, is set to convene a pivotal one-day national conference on 24 February 2024. This conference aims to dissect the regulatory landscape surrounding Artificial Intelligence (AI) with 2 technical sessions and gather experts from academia, industry, government, and civil society.

    The Key organising members of the Conference are Mr. Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi, Chairperson Law Commission of India, Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology & Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Prof. (Dr.) Archana Mishra, Vice-Chancellor of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University, Sonepat, Prof. (Dr.) Ashutosh, Conference Director and Dean of Academic Affairs & HOD at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University, Sonepat, underscores the significance of interdisciplinary collaboration in addressing the multifaceted legal complexities of AI.

    As AI technologies advance at a rapid pace, there arises an urgent need for robust regulatory frameworks to address critical issues such as data governance, privacy protection, liability, and ethical considerations.

    The conference, scheduled to be held in a physical mode, will comprise two technical sessions along with an inaugural session and a valedictory session. These sessions will provide a platform for in-depth discussions and exchange of ideas among participants. By fostering inclusive dialogue among experts from diverse backgrounds, the conference endeavours to carve out a roadmap towards a comprehensive regulatory framework for AI governance in India. The conference also aims to invite paper submission, with selected papers to be published as book chapters.
