The Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, and NALSAR University of Law have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a framework for institutional cooperation. The MoU seeks to facilitate collaboration in areas including academic exchange, collaborative research, and the organisation of joint academic events.
The partnership brings together the complementary strengths of a premier technology institute with a dedicated focus on technology and law, and one of India's leading institutions for legal education. By combining technical expertise with legal scholarship, the collaboration aims to advance research and academic engagement in areas such as intellectual property law, technology law, and innovation policy.
The institutions envisage that the collaboration will promote interdisciplinary learning, strengthen research output, and create sustained opportunities for academic exchange between faculty members and students.
