The Centre for Research in Criminal Justice (CRCJ), Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai, in collaboration with the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, is organising a Global Conference on 'Sky Forensics' on 20th & 21st June 2026.

    About the Conference

With the rapid expansion of civil aviation, space exploration, satellite technologies, drones, and commercial space travel, incidents involving crimes, accidents, and catastrophic failures in air and space domains have significantly increased in complexity. Traditional forensic frameworks are often inadequate to address evidentiary, jurisdictional, technological, and legal challenges arising from such incidents.

“Sky Forensics” seeks to establish an academic platform to examine how forensic science, law, technology, and policy intersect in the investigation of aerial and space-related crimes and disasters. The conference aims to foster dialogue between legal scholars, forensic scientists, aviation experts, space law specialists, investigators, and policymakers.
